MISSING AND MURDERED INDIGENOUS WOMEN AND PEOPLE
While there are significant gaps in data about American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) people, available data shows that AI/AN people face high rates of violence.

The U.S. National Institute of Justice reports that 84% of AI/AN women experience violence in their lifetimes. Additionally, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) name homicide as a leading cause of death for AI/AN women and the fifth leading cause of death for AI/AN men.
To support survivors and families, we facilitate community gatherings that foster healing and provide a platform for sharing experiences. By connecting those who have faced similar struggles, we amplify their voices and create opportunities for cultural healing through music, dance, art, and crafts. We recognize that each family and Indigenous nation has unique needs and honor that in our approach.
